The Perfect Hostess Gift

A wise Bitch (okay, it was our Mother) once told us to never arrive at a party empty handed. We think it’s valuable advice that applies to every holiday party, dinner party, overnight stay, or get together you might be attending- even if it’s a family gathering. While you could easily get away with bringing a bottle of wine or a loaf of bread, why take the easy way out? We have a recipe for spinach-artichoke dip that will score you major brownie points with whoever it is you’re trying to impress.

Ingredients:

1 pint creamed spinach

1 12oz jar artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbs lemon juice

Pita/tortilla chips

  1. Heat oven to 400 F.
  2. Combine spinach, artichokes, cheese and lemon juice in a medium sized bowl.
  3. Scrape the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish.
  4. Bake until lightly golden, approx 15 minutes.
  5. Serve dip with chips.

NOTE: If the dish has to travel, put it in Tupperware and heat it in the microwave for approx 2-3 minutes upon arrival. Serve immediately.
