It's time for Today's Shameless Shout-Out!
One of our favorite lil’ Brooklyn Bitches on a Budget, the lovely S Hurwitz, is one of the most talented and adorable knitters we’ve seen outside of a retirement home.
S is a film student at the School of Visual Arts, and she is knitting custom hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, etc to raise money for her thesis film next year. Prices start around $30, depending on the materials and the project. Personally, I’m a big fan of her Message Gloves (mine say Brooklyn!).
Check out the photos below for some samples of pieces she’s made.
(I got these yesterday, and I'm obsessed)

The film is a documentary short about Revolutionary War Re-enactors and it will screen at the Dusty Film and Animation Festival in spring of 2011. You can find out more about the movie at S's blog,http://shurwitzfilm.tumblr.com.
If you’re interested in making a tiny budget-friendly donation in exchange for a cozy accessory or two, please contact S at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell her what you’d like!
Good luck, S!
