Grown-Up Pops

The next time you wake up with a hankering for a liquid breakfast (and preferably one of the alcoholic variety) and it just happens to be 98 degrees at 9am, quench your craving with a Bloody Mary ice pop.

All you need:
2 ¼ c tomato juice (8 oz)
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tsp bottled horseradish
3-4 drops Worcestershire sauce
½ c vodka

 1. Blend all ingredients with a dash of salt and pepper until smooth.
2. Strain through a sieve into a large measuring cup, pressing on and then discarding solids.
3. Pour into ice pop molds or ice cube trays.
4. Freeze approx 30 minutes.
5. Insert sticks, freeze until firm.

If Bloody Marys aren’t your drink of choice, opt for a Margarita Pop instead.

All you need:
Lime ice pops
½ c tequila
6 tbs lime juice
¼ c coarse salt

  1. Mix tequila and lime juice.
  2. Place all ice pops, sticks up, in deep bowl.
  3. Pour tequila mixture over ice pops.
  4. Lightly dip 1 edge of each ice pop into coarse salt and serve.


*NOTE: From personal experience, these can be highly dangerous if you have plans later in the morning. Please consume responsibly, as, unfortunetly, eating all eight ice pops because frozen alcoholic ice pops “don’t count”, is not a valid statement.
