Weekend Wish List

With the morning sun not fully in the sky and a houseful of fellow Bitches in various states of slumber throughout my tiny apartment, it is safe to say that I have been looking forward to this day off for quite some time. It feels like I have been rushing at an alarmingly fast no-eat, no-sleep pace that now I finally have the opportunity to sleep as late as my heart desires… and I’m too busy wishing and hoping for all the things on this weekend’s wish list.

From losing all of my material possessions (namely, my camera, iPod, make-up bag, Moleskine, calendar, and colored pens in a flooded purse situation earlier this week to serving the fiercest fashionistas Manhattan has ever seen these this past week’s fashion events, I’m mentally calculating how I can ever afford any luxury besides the Laundromat and buying garbage bags from the bodega next door.

1. Hug mugs from Max Brenner. Perfect for eating a bowl of cereal, standing up over the kitchen sink, before running out the door to work. Best for drinking extremely thick and indulgent hot chocolate, but really any liquid will do.
2. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon from Pastis. To be delivered to Williamsburg and consumed in bed. After weeks of being the little Match Girl living vicariously through the people I’ve seen parading through the streets for Fashion’s Night Out, I’m more than a little ready to indulge in a little luxury.
3. American Apparel’s High-Waist Interlock skirt in black, of course. Nothing screens grown-up-back-to-school shopping like a black pencil skirt, just begging for the perfect pair of kitten heels to accompany it.
4. A used and slightly musty copy of The Savoy Cocktail Book. After holding it in my hand this past week at Anthropologie, you can feel the depth of knowledge hidden between the pages (750 recipes, complete with Art Deco illustrations) on how to make the best gin cocktails. This would also go perfectly atop my make-believe bar cart.
5. The perfect fall-weather coat. It’s not quite fall but our summer wardrobe of thin sundresses and sheer tank tops will no longer cut it past 8p… unless we are very, very drunk. H & M has some adorable options up for grabs in stores now, ranging from $20-35. I’ve got my eye on a particular red pea coat this has been screaming September.

And what about you, lovelies? What are you wishing for this weekend? Drop the Bitches a line by commenting below, sending us an email a bbonabudget (at) gmail (dot) com, or Tweeting us @bbonabudget!

Have a great weekend,
