I’m a Bitch who’s always ready for a party- but what happens when your budget isn’t really up to the task?
Decorations are one particular area where I consistently fall flat. Booze is a given, a top priority, and it doesn’t quite feel like a birthday unless I’m arriving with a cake (or cupcakes) in hand. But what to do to spruce up the party location when you’re at home and hardly have enough budget for toilet paper, much less Christmas lights, decorative streamers, and color-coded balloons?
When you’re in a pinch to throw something together on the fly- and on the cheap- grab a spool of string, some pretty cupcake papers, and a little bit of glue.
Spotted on the blog Hey Look, here is a DIY party decoration that you can make yourself for practically zero dollars. And also- a quick shout out to the incredibly talented, adorable bloggers behind Hey Look. Michaela and Lotta. These two awesome ladies, based in Helsinki, run a lifestyle blog inspired by pretty details and big pictures. It’s an absolute must-read for the Bitch on any Budget.
The “How To” part is easy- simply fold your paper cupcake cups in half around your string, and seal with glue. Feel free to switch up the plain pastel papers for something a little fancier (this blog recommends a shiny foil version).
